The Unemployed. Auckland, Friday Night. About a thousand men, mostly artizan.s and labourers, attended a meeting of the unemployed. It \Vi\h decided to ask the Government to open the Kuiti section of the Trunk Railway to the unemployed by day labour. A deputation was aUo appointed to wait on His Worship the Mayor.
Bankruptcy. In the bankruptcy of J. H. Ponton, hatter, the liabilities are st.ited at £5,333, and the assets £Ts3 above that sum.
