[redtbb's tkleqrams.l Mkluoubnb, July 20. Tub Colonial Treasurer (Mr Gillies) introduced the Financial Statement in the Legislative Assembly this evening. He estimates the revenue at £6,970,000, and the expenditure at £6,919,000. The revenue for the past financial year waft £6,420,000, and the expenditure £6,620j000, the actual surplus at the commencement of the current financial year being £330,000. Mr Gillies proposes to increase ad valorem duties upon woollen goods and piece woollens to 20 per cent., *and on made-up woollens to 30 per cent. ' Sydney, July 20.
