The University Cricket Match.

London, July 7. Tho inter-University cricket match, Oxford v. Cambridge, resulted in a victory for Oxford.

Eight men have booked from Dunedin for Kimberley by the barque Onyx from Lyttelton, aud between twenty and thirty considered as good as booked by the Tamsui. In consequence of the reduction of the field force branch of the New Zealand Armed Constabulary, the services of Firstclass Inspector W. C. Lyon have been dispensed with.
