Burned to DeathAuckland, Friday Night. Francis Henry Taylor, a three-yonr-old 'son of Mr Taylor, cabinet maker, ' was burned to death at his parent's residence, Mount Eden, to-day. He had been. left with a brother, five years old, whilo his mother went to feed the fowls.
The Case of the Petrel, The Petrel case still drags slowly along at the Police Court. The evidence discloses nothing new.

Wholesale: Butter, prime fresh, lOd to Is ; cheese, good factory, ssd to 7d ; Canterbury cheese, none; eggs, Is 3d ; lard, in bladders, G.£d to 7d ; bacon and hanw (in cloth), provincial, 6d to 8d ; hams, (id to 6£d: bacon and hams, new cure (bare), bacon only 7d ; bacon and hams in equal numbers, 7|d; hams, only B^d.
