London, July 2. The following prominent candidates have been elected to the new Parliament : — Samuel Whitebread, Liberal, Bedford ; W. H. Smith, ConHervative, Strand Diusion, London : Sir M. Hicks-Beach, Conservative, Bristol, West Division ; Herbert Gladstone, Liberal, Leeds, West Division, (by a large majority) ; Lord Randolph Churchill, Conservative, Paddington, South Division (by a greater majority than at the last general election) ; W. S. Came, for Barrow-in-Furness,

London, July 2. The election returns now show 47 Conservatives, 10 Unionibtf, 13 Gladstonites, and 8 Parnellites. The following old members have been reelected :— Lord Edward Cavendish, Liberal, Derby West Division ; Edward Stanhope, Conservative, HorncastJe ; Selater-Booth, Conservative, Basingstoke ; F. A. Stanley, Conservative, Blackpool ; Sir J. R. Mowbray Talbot, Conservative Oxford University ; Sir John Lubbock, Liberal, London University; McDonald, Conservative, Edinburgh University; Jas. Campbell, Conservative, Glasgow University ; H. J. Trotter, Conservative, Colchester. London, July 2. The following further unopposed returns to the new Parliament are announced :— W. E. Gladstone, Midlothian ; Lord John Manners (Conservative), Melton ; Henry C. Kaikes and Beresford Hope (Conservatives), Cambridge University.
