ROTORUA NOTES. [BY TELEGRAPH.—OWN CORRESPONDENT.] The Rotoiti Disturbance. Rotorua, Monday.
A party of natives have left to investigate matter* at Rotoiti. A Maori boy, about 10 years old, fell accidentally into the boiling springs at OhinemutH on Saturd»v evening. His 'skin nil peeled off on the removal of his clothing. Dr. Ginders was speedily in attendance, but the boy died two hoars after. Professors Thomas and Brown started for the volcano this afternoon. Everything is quiet at Kotorua. The party of natives ha\e not yet returned from Rotoehu. The weather is lovely to-day. The strong pouthly wind yettterday had a dcpiosein^ effect on the surrounding . spriugH. From Rotoiti I hear that three severe ■hocks were experienced there yesterday morning. They were not felt here.
