NATIVE LAND COURT, KIHIKIHI.
At the sitting on Thursday morning no applicants for succession order* put in an appenance, so the court called on claims for sub-division. No. 19 on the li^t was d^altwith. Tienui Krena and seven others • applied for a sub-division of their shares in Whaiti-Ivuvanui, Nt>. 2 D. (P.iteteiv Block), -1000 acres, of which three acres had been cut off for a school site by the last Cambridge court. Orders for the issue of a Crown giant wore nindo in favour of Tuniuha Taiporutu, Mere Thninhn, He-peri, Matuha, Ani T.iurhe, Taniera Rehua, MaaU Heperi and Haana Rangiwhakairi for 300 acres, and in favour of Tienu Erena (Drausheld) for 44 acres as his individual share. The balance, 3603 acres, to be granted in favour of the remaining 82 owners. There was only one succession claim passed through the court. Tho natives are still having their "fling," but the excesses of the previous days bave abated, owing to the check put on them by the police.
