Walter James, Liberal, Gateshead. The statement previously telegraphed that 265 members were elected without opposition is erroneous ; candidates for that number of seats are unopposed, and they represent the party divisions stated, namely, 55 Gladstones, 415 Unionists, % Conservatives, 08 Parnelites. The actual returns of those elected without opposition show 15 Conservatives 8 Unionists, i> Gladstonites, and include the following in addition to the names already telegraphed :— Sir R.
