The revenue tor the past year amounted to £2,22 i, 000, and the expenditure £2,390,001). 'he customs had incieased by 1" Ho, ooo, and the railway receipts by £X 1,000. The total public debt amounted to £1H,000,000. Tlie revenue for the current financial year is estimated at £2,110,000, and the expenditure ar £2,200,000. The total deficiency will be covered by fresh taxation, amounting to £109,000, including stamp taxes, which are expected to realise £5,000, and by a considerable reduction in the civil service.
