A Mean Larceny. Auckland, Wednesday Night. A MAN named Jackson has been committed for trial for pawning a Lag and contents belonging to Maiy Campbell, a servant at the Thames Hotel who had packed her belonging prior to leaving for another place.
The Petrel Case. The Petrel case was continued at the police court to-day but disclosed nothing new.
The Markets. At the North New Zealand Farmers' Cooperative Ass3ciation's weekly sale, to-day, there was very little enquiry for >s«ilt butter or bacon. Apple* brought 3W to id per lb.; lemons, lOd to lid per doz. ; fowls, 1> (>d to 2s (id ; honey, 3d per lb ; bacon, 3d to 4d per lb ; hanw, od to Gd per lb ; damaged cheese, 3d, pood ditto. 5d per lb ; potatoes, £3 lOd to £4 per ton ; cairots, £2 10s per ton.
