TAOTAOROA ROAD BOARD.

Thk Board held its ordinary monthly meeting at Cambridge on Saturday ; present ; —^Messrs Hunt (chaiinan), Callender and Seininens.

Rate.— lt was resolved to strike a rate of M in the £ for the current year.

Road Maintknancb.— Mr Bruuskill was authorised to receive offers for the maintenance of the roads during the year.

Cambiiid«k-Rotouua Road.— A letter was received from the Pinko County suggesting that the Board should apply to the General Government for a Hum ot money for the construction of that portion of tho Cambridge- Rotnrua Road' beyond the junction with the Matanmta roed. Tho Clerk was instructed to reply to the effect that sucti an implication would be better if ' made by the Council. A few account-) were parsed for payment.
