WELLINGTON, Thursday. The Gazette notifies the appointment of Mr M. Nicoll as J.P. and Mr R. B. M.innsell, Taupo, as native interpreter. Mr Anstin. Auckland, has ceased to be a J.P., and Mr J. McCosh Clark has resigned his commission aa ,T. P. NELSON, Thursday. A six-roomed house here was burned this morning. It was owned by Mr Meares. It was insured in the Imperial for £130, and the furniture in the same office for £45.
