At the Coroner's inque-t held yesterday on the victims of the Ly-ee-muon disaster, the jury found that the wreck was caused bv gross neglect, but there was not sufficient evidence before the jury t<> point out the guilty pex*ms. Mr Fulhtirmglmm, who was in charge (if the tori lire wlieu the vessel struck, has been arreited on n charge of manslaughter. Captain L ike, in hi* evidence, expressed the opinion that the wreck wu caused by sheer carelessness on the part of Mr Fntheringham, the second officer, who was in charge of the deck at the time of atriking. Fotheringhani, on the other hand, msertt thnt the captain was in charge of the ship at the tune, and that he received the course to be steered from him. The evidence was of a very contradictory nature throughout.
