NOTICE is hkueby gjven that at a Special Meeting of the Hamilton Borough Council, duly convened by the Mayor, aud held at the Council Chauibor.s, Hamilton, on the third day of May,- 1880, the following resolution was adopted :-— That the Council of the Borough of Hamilton, Waikato, do hereby resolve to make, by "Special Order," at this Special Meeting, held ,on Monday,, the third day of May, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-six, a Special Rate of nineponce threo farthings in the £1 on the annual value of all rateable property within the Borough of Hamilton/ for the security ( of the -loan of six' thousand pounds (£0000) and interest thereon, borrowed from the Post Office Savings Bank of New Zealand for a period of fifty years, for the purpose of erecting public buildings, improving domain lands, &c, &c, the instalments of same to • bo payable half-yearly on the first day of July and January in each year during the currency of the said Loan. And, further, that this resolution be publicly notified in accordance with clause 82, " Municipal Corporations Act," 1876,'' and con finned at a special meeting hereby resolved to be held on Monday, the 31st instant, or at any adjournment thereof.
