The reason given by Sir Julius Vogel for the sudden announcement of tho Financial Statement was that the long delay in h\ing the date for its delivery involved a certain amount of commercial disorganisation. Hun members, therefore, he concluded, would not be surprised after this statement to hear that ho would bring down the Budget tonight.
