HAMILTON CEMETERIES TRUST.
The ueual monthly meeting of the Trust was held last night. Present : Messrs W. A. Graham (chairman), Knox, Edgecurabe, Scott and Tippmi.— A letter \v.w read from Mr E. Wilson in reference to the test hole sunk nt the cemetery to ascertain at what depth w.«t(jr c mid be struck, reporting that th« first hole sunk he struck water at sft Gin, and in tho other four holes at depths varying from 10ft to 4ft (>in. Accounts. — Wilson's account* were passed for payment.— Moved by Mr Knyx that Mr Bikes' accotmt bo not paid. Seconded by Mr Tippen, a<« the cemetery trustees (?ayo no authority for tho work, Mr Sandci having volunteered t»> di^ tho work free of charge.— The socretary was instructed to write to the sexton pointing out the necessity of making the graves larger, m on a lute occasion a grave had
to be enlarged during the ceromony. Resolved, " That tenders bo cnllod f»r cutting a drain eitfht fept deep through the cemetery, and that Messrs Edgecumbo, Tippen and Scott, be appointed a committee to see the same done, with power to act."
