The Bootmakers 1 Strike. Auckland, Friday Night. The master bootmakers have positively declined to make n further advance in the scale of pricas offered to thi men.
Sale of Victory. The racahorsa Victory was submitted to auction by Hunter arid Nol in t<»-d.iy, and was knocked down at 80 guineas to W. Kean, Lite trainer to the Hon. G. McLean.
The New Lynn Outrage. At the Piilico Court to-day, the five men charged with committing an outrage on the premises occupied by »T. Henry Dyer at New Lynn on the 10th ultimo, and of assaulting Dyer and his wife, again appeared to answer the charge. The defendants, John Porke, Arthur Atwood, Richd. Exer, Robert Fen wick, and John Pugh, were committed for tiial, the magistrate holding that a priina facie cane had beea made out. Counsel reserved the defence. Bail was allowed.
