The Bootmaker's Strike. Auckland, Wednesday Night. The bootmakers have resolved to modify their claims on the employers, and an Amended scale has been submitted to the Master's Association.
The Charge Against Bolton. In Boltons case, evidence for prosecution closed, and the case has been adjourned till Monday, when witnesses for tho defenco will be examined.
The Supreme Court. The Supreme Court lias bgen occupied all day with the claim of £300 damages bi ought by Hannon, draper, a^aiusfc the Noifch Shore Ferry Company. The case is not concluded.
Greenwood's Bankruptcy. Greenwood's examination took pLice before the Offici.il A^igneq to-el.iy, and closed with nothing of importance The bankrupt admitted that there would probably be a large deficit on the estimates of his properties if sold now. Unsecured creditors amounted to £1O,G'1O; secured, £40,020.
The North. New Zealand Farmers' Associat on Auction. At the North Now Zealand Fanners' Association's auctlui to-day local potatoes, excepting very beat, wore hard to sell at any price, in consequence of laige bhipments of Southern potatoes. Very littlo enquiry for chaff. The following prices were realised : —Apples, Id to 2\d 5 pearn, 2d to 2kl per lb ; passion fruit, 3d \»r doz ; tomatoes, Id per lb ; potatoes, £3 10s per ton ; honey, 4d ; bacon, (id to 7d ; damaged cheese, Id to 2d ; good cheese, 5 J to u^d ; chaff, £4 pei tutu ■
