(Received 10:h May, 1 20 p m ) Mklbournk, Wednesday. A letter addressed by the Hon. R. Stout to the Presbyterian Association has been published in the Victorian papers. Mr Gillies referring to it states he is confident the Presbytery will never consent to the cession of the Now Hebrides to France. London, May 11.
The rneitibcrs of the Australian cricketing team visited the Indian and Colonial Exhibition to-day. They were formally received by Commissioner Uosito, reprebentative of Victoiia, who afterwards entertained them at luncheon. Mr Graham Berry, who was present on the occasion, addressed them, stating his belief that the Imperial Government would not cede tho New Hebrides to France.
