Pukete.

The annual meeting of householders in the Pukete School Diatrict, was held in the ichool-house on Tuesday, 27th April, Mr Washer in the chair. The annual report and balance-sheet were read and adopted. The meeting then proceeded to elect a committee for the ensuing year, and the following gentlemen were elected : — William Alexander (chairman), Geo. Hall (secretary and treasurer), John Mays, Robert Abbott, Alexander Mays, William Washer and James Guest. The outgoing committee expressed their satisfaction with the manner in which the school had been conducted for the past year, under the teacherahip of Mr Mclntosh. The new committee agreed to give their support to the teacher in his endeavours to establish a library in the school.— (A Correspondent.)
