The annual meeting of householders was held on the 27th. Mr J. T. Edwards wm voted to the chair, and read the annual report of the committee, from which it appeared that the number on the roll is <J5, and the average attendance G5. Tiie school had been going on satisfactorily, and the number of pupils has increased so much, -tifiat the building ia now over-crowded, and totally inadequate to the wants of the place. The committee point out that this »fthe oldest Government tchoolibuilding in Waikato, and cannot last much longer. Looking at the> buildings possessed by other districts, they consider the boaid ought to attend to their wants at once. Another pupil teacher has been appointed, which will secure better supervision. The balance-sheet showed that the receipts, including balance from previous year of £3 10s, amounted to £19 10m, and the expenditure to £17 155, leaving a balance in hand of £1 15s. The following householders >ere elected a committee by ballot :— Messrs Sturges, Edwards, Kusabs, Morrison, Prince, Menghim aad Graham.
At a subsequent meeting of the committee, Mr Sturgei was re-elected chair* man.
