Suspected Murder. Auckland, Wednesday Night. The wounds on the body of a man named OBrien, which waa found in the harbour yesterday, is exciting suspicions of foul play.
Sir Or- Grey and Tawhiao. Tawhiao and Te Wheoro expect to meet Sir G. Grey at Auckland to-morrow.
Bank of New Zealand. At the Bank of New Zealand halfyearly meeting, the directors' report showed that the net profit for the half-year, after full appropriation of all known bad and doubtful debts amounts to £78,540, to which in to be added the balance from last half-year, £27,103, giving a total available for division of £105,649, which it is proposed to Appropriate as follows:—To payment of dividend at 10 per cent., £50,000; bonus pf 5t share equal to 5 per cent, £25,000. Balance carried, profit and loss, new account, £30,049. Total, £105,649. The Chairman ■aid the bank's losses by Holt's defalcations could not exceed £10,000 to £15,000.
