A DESPERATE OUTRAGE.

A DEBPBRATE outrage has been recently committed by a man named Tony Guignais at Lyons. A young girl having refuted the man's overtures, he fired at her with a revolver, inflicting a serious wound. He then sought to escape ; but wu stopped by two firemen, who endeavoured to arrest him. Guignasis fired at them, severely injuring both. They fell, and the man resumed his flight. By this time a general alarm had been raised, and k crowd of persons took up the pursuit. The fugitive, however, fired as soon as anyone attempted to stop him, two soldiers ami a civilian being hit in this way. The man reached his lodgings, and it was only after a desperate resistance that he was arrested.
