MR BALLANCE AND THE NATIVES. Arrival at Alexandra. [FROM OUR OWN CORRESPONDENT.]
Alexandra, April 13th. The Hon. the Native Minister, Mr Rallance, accompanied by Mr Lewis, Under-Secretary, Major Ropata, Wi Peri, M.H.R., Major Jackson, Mr 6. Brown, Interpreter, and the Native Deputation, who returned from their viuit to the Governor in Auckland, arrivtd here to-day. There were but few native* in the settlement to meet Mr Ballanc?. Mr (}. T. Wilkinson, the native agent here, was of course present, and at once had an interview. The rtturnttd natives proceeded to Whatiwhatihoe, and it is expected will arrange with Tawhiao for a ineetinsr.
4 Evening. Mr Ballancs will proceed to Kopua tomorrovr morning, as & meeting has been Arranged there with the Xgatimaninpoto people. Wahanui and Taonui will be present. Hoani Wetere Te Huki and Hoani Te One;have arrived hers from Kawhia, to interview Mr Ballance.
