CAMBRIDGE AND THE RAILWAY TIME-TABLE.
It is the intention of the people of Cam* bridge not yet to lot the agitation against the railway time-table rest, nor to allow the reply received from the Minister for Public Woiks to pass unnoticed. A petition has now been prepared addressed to Mr Richardson, netting forth the injustices of tho present service to the town and district, and the injury inflicted on the trade of the business people, that the positions of Te Awamutu and Te Aroha are, not analogous to that of Cambridge, and that whilst not desirous of dictating to the Minister, the petitioners ask that further consideration be given to the plain facts of the matter, and that a more suitable local service be afforded them. The petition is being signed by the members of the town board and all the leading residents and business men of the place.
