At Tawhiao's meeting to-day correspondence from Lord Derby was read, also from the Governor, relating to Tawhiao's mission to Englaud. The natives representing the tribes present will tomorrow give a written expression of their views as to coming to an amicable agreement with the Government. A written account of all proceedings between the Government and the King natives, with copies of letters from the commencement of the King movement until the present time, including all minutes of meetings when Government officers were present, is being prepared. Paul Tuhaire made a sensation by informing the metting of Major Atkinson's late speech at Auckland, referring to his idea of taking all the surplus lands from the natives, leaving only enough for their own occupation.
