It was resolved that the address be presented on the' 14th April next, tbe 74th birthday of Sir George Grey, at an open air gathering itf the Albert Park. Expeditions Sale of Property. An important sale of Newton property wan expeditiously effected at the Property Tax Valuation Court this morning. An old man named George Reid, who had 22^ acres of property adjoining Surrey Hills Estate, with a frontage of 11 chains, objected to tbe valuer's valuation of £3,G00. He said he was willing to take hundreds of pounds less for it. Mr William Aitken, one of the reviewers (from bin seat on the bench) promptly retorted that he was willing to give the valuation price for tbe property, and make tbe affair a cath transaction. Keid was equally eager to sell, and therefore at a word from Mr Aitken, Mr Randerson proceeded to draw up a form ot agreement, which Reid subsequently signed. ■
