TANGI AT WHATIWHATIHOE.

There has been a great tangi going on at Whatiwhatihoeduring the last week thechief Tati, or Hon, Wharekawa, having joined the great majority. Taati was a chief belonging to the Ngatiapakura hapu of the Waikato tribe, and a staunch supporter of Tawhiao. A good deal of speech-making was indulged in, and propositions made for the approaching March westing, which ia called for the 28th inst. Tawbuo was present the whr>le time, aud is now residing at the settlement.
