We al-D a old a large number of pi/s .tnd dairy cow*.. At the Cambridge Yard*, -m Thursday, Feb 17, there was a full] muster of fat cattle ; no stores yarded. The greater part sold to the local tra.de at good pi ices. At the Cambridge Hone Yards on S iturday, Feb. 20th, there was again a good muster of horseflesh. Good competition for useful horsns existed, but weeds were unsaleable. We quoto hack* from £1 to til 10s ; msdiuni draughts from £8 to £18 10-s. At Ngaruawahia on Monday, Feb. 22nd, there w,\a a large muster of cattle, and a good attendance of buyers. Nearly eveiy beast yarded sold. We quote : Calves, mixed sexes, from 18s to 275 ; yearling steers, £1 17s Gd to £2 ss; two-year-old steers, £2 5i to £3 15s ; three-year olds, £5 each. At the Ohaupo Yards on Tuesday, 23rd inst., nearly 1000 head of cattle were yarded. There was a very large attendance, but buyers did not seem inclined to give late prices. A good number were passed at auction, but most were disposed of after the sale. Only a limited number of sheep were yarded, many advertised not coming forward, but will be sold at next Ohaupo sale on March 9th. We quote : Dairy cows, £4 to £5 10-* ; yearling steers, £2 to £2 5j ; steer calves, £1 13s to £1 15s ; two-year-old steers, £2 12s Gd to £.1 2s Gtl. A draft of steers from Te Akau Station 8(«M from £i 10s to £4 15s Gd ; spayed cows, £3 to £3 ss ; a draft of 48 steers from Mr John Martyn, from £i (is to £4 14s ; s(i three-year-old heifers, £2 10s to £2 19s ; fat cows sold at from £4 to £5 ; ewes, (in Gd to 7s Gd ; wetnerH, 8s Gd each. Several good hacks have been M>ld piivately, at prices ranging from £S to £27 10s respectively.
