LATEST TE AROHA NEWS. [BY TELEGRAPH—OWN CORRESPONDENT.] Te Aroha, Friday.

Te Aroiia, Friday. The demonstration committee havo now completed most of their arrangements for the ceremony of the opening of the railway on Monday next. The day will be observed as a general holiday here and at Waiorongomni, and all the resources of the district will be called into requisition in order that the affair may come off with due eclat. There will be a luncheon in the Public Hall after the opening ceremony, for which nearly one hundred invitations have been issued. The Domain B'nud have been preparing for the occasion, and have now got the new baths completed. With the increased accommodation they hope to be able to tue3t all requirements. Other preparations have been made to give the visitor* a hearty welcome, and if the weather proves favourable the trip is likely to be a very enjoyable one. Some good-looking stone has been brought into town from a newly-opened reef near Cornes's discovery, at the head of the Tui creek. The stuff closely resembles that found in the Champion lode No. 1, and the sample tested has given a fair return of bullion. The discovery is likely to prove of some importance. _
