Dukedin, Thursday. Ahout 1500 people assembled at the railway^station to meet Cardinal Moran on his arrival by thesortfh express. On the train reaching' the station the Cardinal was greatly cheered. He was placed in a carriage drawn by four greys, Cardinal Morau and the Catholic representative, Mr Petre, being in the same carriage. A procession was then formed, aud proceeded from the station to the cathedral, where an arch, bearing inscriptions of welcome aud decorated with evergreens, was erected. On reaching the new cathedral addresses were presented by Archdeacon Coleman, on behalf of the clergy, and by Mr Callan, on behalf of the laity, to which the Cardinal replied, referring to the fight which the Church was compelled to wage against false Liberalism. After uervicfl the Cardinal was conducted to the Bishops residence, where fireworks, rockets, etc., were let off.
