DISTRICT COURT, HAMILTON. Tuesday.—(Before His Honor Judge Smith.)
In Bankruptcy. Inkeß. Williamson.— Mr Hay applied for an order of discharge.— Mr O'Neill, fur the Deputy Assignee, stated the latter's objection, which was to the effect that the debtor had, in his opinion, concealed a portion of bis estate and had not rendered proper asassistance in realising the estate.— The Deputy Assignee was examined and cross-examined at some length, but nothing new was elicited. He t>aid he was not prepared to say that the debtor retained more money than was necessary for the maintenance of himself and family. —The debtor having been examined, His Honour said the Deputy Assignee acted quite rightly in bringing the matter before the court, but as no creditors appeared to oppose, and as no good could be gained by suspending the order of discharge, it would be granted. Solicitors' costs were granted subject to taxation. In re Frederic Gaudin.— Mr Hay applied for'an order of discharge. There was no opposition, and the order was made. In kb Dan McLennan and Joseph Fischer.— The debtors were publicly examined, and the bankruptcies were declared closed. Applications for the sale of the book debts in the estates of R, Williamson, J. Goodwin, D. McLennan and F. Gaudiu were granted. -
