The Next Election. Auckland, Monday Night. The Star says it is probable there will be a contest for Waitemata at the general election.
Fire. The workshop of John Jenkins, Archill, was destroyed by fire to-day.
Outbreak of Diptheria. Fifteen cases of diptheria are reported at Devonport.
Drowning Accident. Fanny Vesey, a domestic servant, was drowned while bathing at Motuihi to-day.
