M. de Freycinet, the new Premier, made his first Ministerial statement in the Chamber of Deputies to-day. In the course of his speech he hinted at the disestablishment ot the Church in France, and urged the necessity for rigorous economy in all branches of the public service. M. de Freycinet further stated his Government would countenance no colonial adventures.
