WAIKATO HORTICULTURAL SOCIETY.
A meeting of the Cambridge committee of the above society, was held at the Criterion hotel on Wednesday evening las>t. Present : Mr T. Wells, (Chairman), Capt. Souter, Messrs J. Sharp, G. W. Russell, R. W. Dyer, G. Hewitt, J. S. Edgar, D. Richardson, and J. S. Bond. Apologies for non-attendance, were re ceived from Messrs Brookes and J. P. Thomson. Secretary. — On the motion of Mr T. Wells, Mr R. W. Dyer was unanimously appointed secretary. Annual meeting.— On the motion of Mr Sharp, it was agreed "That the annual meeting of the local society be held on the 2oth January at S p.m., m the Public Hall; and that in the meantime an active canvass of the district be made for members, by the committee, who are to make their report at the annual meeting. Schedule Committee.— On the motion of Mr Wells, seconded by Mr D. RichardRon, Messrs Sharp, Brooks, and Dyer, wore appointed a schedule committee, with instructions to have the schedules printed and distributed to members and others with the least possible delay. Show Day.— On the motion of Mr Wells it was agreed that the next show of tlie society be held on Wednesday, March 17, in the Public Hall. Messrs Wells, D. Richardson, and Capt. Souter, were ap* pointed a. committee for providing accomodation for the show. Tiuin Abbangemjents.— On the motion
of Mr J. P. Edgar, Messrs Well-, RusselJ, and Dyor, were appointed a committee to act in the matter of <.pccial train arrangements fur the bliou-. The meeting concluded with a vote of hanks to the chair.
