Melbourne, Dec. 29. TIIR Victorian general elections have been fixed for the 20th February.

Sir John Robertson has issued a political manifesto, which refers principally to the L.vnd Act of NewSouth Wales, and indicates amendments that are considered desirable to introduce into the measure. These alterations, Sir J. Robertson siys, will largely assist the financial irrangements of the colony. It is the intention of the Government to take the earliest opportunity of proposing to Pdili.irnent other measures for meeting the deficiency in the revenue and placing the finances of the country on a sound basis.
