SAD DROWNING ACCIDENT AT CAMBRIDGE.

A very melancholy case of drowning occurred at Cambridge <>n Saturday afternoon. A giil n-imed Marion Skelton, aged about 1.1 years, accompanied by her Hister, apod about 13yr->, proceeded to the w.iterfall to bathe. The W.ukato river, in a swift and dangerous current, runs almost underneath the waterfall. Mai ion got into tlio river, notwithstanding the expostulations of her bister, and was hoon taken away by thocuirent. Being unable to swim she disappeared immediately. The police were communicated with, and a search for the body was instituted by Constable Brennan, but as yet it has not been found. Great Hyinjuthy is felt for Mr and Mrs Alford, the girl's guardians, who are borely afflicted by the calamity.
