NAPIER, Thursday. Ax information for criminal libel hen been laid against T. G. Sawkins, editor of the Evening News, for remarks in an article on <Vcase of alleged indecent assault. At a meeting to-night of the members of the St. John's Anglican Church, it was decided to build at once a large brick and stone church to accommodate 1100 worshippers. £SOOO has already been guaranteed towanls the new church, which will be the third new one put ny in Napier during the last two years.
