Melbourne, December 8. The Manager of the National Mortgaye and Agency Company of New Zealand reports on the local grain markets as follows : —Shipping wheat meets with a steady but not active demand at 3s lOd to 4s per bushel ; malting barley shows no improvement, at 3a to 3a 9d ; New Zealand oats, feed sorts, have rather more enquiry, at reduced prices, viz., 2s lOd to 2s lid ; for milling descriptions there is a fair demand at 2s lid to 3s ; New Zealand oats, under bond, 2s to 2s 2d. The Victorian Parliament will probably be prorogued on the 16th of December. It is not considered likely that either the new Electoral Bill or the Reciprocity Treaty with Tasmania will be dealt with this session. Sydney, December 8. The steamer Governor BlackaU, with the remains of the late General Scratchiey, is evpected toarrive here to-morrow, when she will proceed to Melbourne. Arrived : The s.s.
