/CONFISCATED LANDS DECLARED VJ DERELICT.

In pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the Special Powers and Contract* Act 1885. I, William Francis Drummond Jervoia, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby declare as derelict all allotments of confiscated landa within the respective Parishes of Hunua, Otau, Opalieke, Miungatawhiri, Tuakau North, Pukekohe, Puni, Waiuku, and Wai pi pi, all in thp Provincial District of Auckland, which have been deserted for more than ten years by thp persons to whom they were allotted under the terms of the New Zealand Settlements Act. ISC3, and the Acts 'amending the same ; and if, within three months from the date hereof, neither the person to whom any such allotment was originally allotted nor hia lawful representatives shall establish his claim thereto, I shall, at the expiration of such last mentioned period of three months, reaume possession thereof on behalf of Her Majesty, and dispose of the same as Crown Landa. Maunder, of Te Rore, Paterangi, is the Collector of Rates for the above council ; also, that nil rates levied by the above Council are now payable to the collector at his residrnce, where the rate-book is also open for inspection.
