Nominations for Hurdles, Cup, Waikato Stakes and Kihikihi Plate, close at ft p.m. on Saturday, 9th January. Name, age, colour and pedigree of hordes, and colour^ of rider to be sent to the secretary, Te Awamutu, or Mr A. Kidd, Commercial Hotel, Auckland, on that date. Any jockey disobeying the commands of the starter or riding in colours except those entered w ill be fined 2sovs. Ten per cent of nil races except Cup, Selling Hack, Maori and Consolation to go to the second horse. All protests must be in writing, and accompanied with 2sovs., to be, forfeited if the piotcst be deemed frivolous. Protests to be lodged with the Secretary not later than fifteen minutes after the race. No entry will bo received for any race except upon the condition that all claims, disputes, or objections shall be decided by a majority of the Stewards present, or whom they may appoint, and their decision shall be final. Qualification for all races except Maori Race and Selling Hack, one guinea. Horses walking over will receive only 50 per cent of the stakes. Weights to he declared in the N.Z. Herald and The Waikato Times on Thursday, 14th January. Acceptances close at 9. p.m. on night of genti.il entry, Tuesday, 19th January. All nominations and acceptances must l>e accompanied with the necessary amount in cash. Owners are pirticularly requested to send the colours of riders with the entries.
