The Chancellor of the E\che<|ucr (Sir Michael Hicks-Beach) addrossing a public- meeting at York last night, said that lie was hopeful of a peaceful settlement of the J3ulg.ui.in difficulty, and added that the Emopean Powers would protect Constantinople fiom foreign aggression.
