The bod> of a man named Riclnrd Price, a blacksmith, was found in a gully at Pukerau, on the Wellington-Mana-watu Railway line yesterday. The body was in an advanced state of decomposition, anil almost fell to pieces w hen touched. About the 20th June Price left his uoik, and announced his intention of going to Fielding, and had not been seen since. A verdict of fottnd dead was leturned. A CHRIST^HURCH, Tuesday. A little girl four years old, tho daughter of Mr J. M. Jones, farmer, Lakeside, near Southbridge, has died from the effects of burns, caused by her atculcntally setting her clothes on five while playing with matches. DUNEDIN, Tuesday. While the dredge was at work in the harbour yesterday, the body of a Chinaman was biought up by one of the buckets. It had been in the water for some time. It was identified as that of Sue Wing, who had expressed his determination to take his life.
