TO THB EDITOR. SlB, — I wish to enter a protect against a nuisance winch is vapidly developing m onr midst. I allude to the dog pest. No strange dog can p.ws through the main street of Hamilton West without being set upon and probably injured by a lot of curs, who delipht in woirying poor timid cattle dogs, itc. Whore is the agent for the Society for Pievention of Cruelty to Animals and where are the police? I think it is a case for them. — I am, &c, Poou Dog Trw. Hamilton, 21st August, ISSS.
