CAMBRIDGE PARLIAMENTARY UNION.

The usual weekly meeting of the abore union was held at S. Andrew 1 ! schoolroom on Monday evening. There was a very good attendance. Iho Speaker, tho Yen. Archdeacon Willis took the chair. Mr Gfrynneth asked for leave to introduco a bill for the repeal and amend ment of the Parliamentary Honararium and Pri\ ileges Act 1884. Leave was granted, and the bill read a first time. Mr Rwssel's motion re tho present unsatisfactory mode of electing boards of education was brought forward and discussed. A very interesting and prolonged debate ensued, Messrs Wells, Stewart, Gwynncth and Westmoreland taking part in the debate. The Government undertook to bring in a measure this session dealing with the matter. The New Zealand Defences' Bill was read a third time and passed. The House then rose.
