The statue to be erected to the late W. S. Moorehouse is on board the Ruapehn, which is expected in Lyttelton on Thursday or Friday. Wednesday. During the Salvation Auny procession, headed by Marshall Booth, lasf night, a man named Dale, on honeback, endeavoured to break through the ranks. A disturbance ensued, and Dale was arres ted by Constable Gullen, who was hooted and severely assaulted by a number of larrikins. Dale was lodged in gaol, and two ringleaders in the assault on the constable were arrested.

DUNEDIN, Tuesday. The Tarawera was brought up to town to day. The Rev. Mr Gualter, Minister of First Church, died last night.
