The Premier, Sir Alexander Stuart, li.'is forwarded a telegram to Sir Saul Samuel, Agent-General for the colony, informing him that the Federation Enabling Bill will not be acceptable to New South Wales if clause ol be omitted, and that it fct-qucstionable if the Bill will be adopted c\en if the clause is returned. The Parliament of New South Wales meets for the transaction of business on September tf. The Pacific Mail Company's R. M. s. Zealandia sailed this afternoon for Auckland with the homeward San Francisco mail.
Hoiurt, July 16. Two men, named Rice find O'Keefe, a\ ho were recently arrested by the Tasniankn police for complicity in the Beaconstield Bank robbery, were brought up before the Hobart yesterday for examination. After hearing the exidence of the convict "Waid, who is now undergoing a sentence tor the same robbery, and who has turned Queen's evidence against Rice jind O'Keefe, the Bench committed the prisoners for trial.
