CHRI.HTOHURCH, Tuesday. At a meeting of tho medical piofcssion lield on Thursday last, sympathy was cxpiesaed With J>r, Stuart under the attack recently made upon him in the Wellington Evening Press. The opinion was expressed that the article was malignant and untruthful, and that Dr. Stuart should at once commence an action against the Press. It was resolved to forward tho resolution passed to the (government.
I DUNEDIN, Tuesday. At the inquest on James liarr, who was found dead ia a hut at Lovells Flat, the verdict was that deceased met his death by poisoning, but there was no evidence to show how it was adnnnis tered.
