THE HARDEN "STAR" HAND GRENADE.

Wheie\er the liquid or the gas touches the effect is simply marvellous. Tho liquid, which is perfectly haimle«s in cyeiy respect, forms a sort of silica wheiewr it is .spilled, and no effoit can again ignite tho place where it has fallen. Several successive tests were given, one being of such an exceedingly satisfactory character as to elicit the applause of tho onlookers. A barrel, saturated with kerosene, was also fired.
