Tlio annual meeting of the committee was held at the Couit-houMJ on Saturday. Present v Mes-rs W. A. (Jrahain, Mayor (chaiuimn), Poat, White, Trench and Gco. Applications wero received fimn tho licensees of the Hamilton, Commercial, Waik.ito and Hoyal Hotels for renewal". The police icport was in each case favournhlc, and tho applications ucio severally granted. The Chairman took occasion to compliment the borough on the fact that not ,\ miiklo complaint liad Ijeen registered by the police against any of the hotels, a circumstance vlucli he thought waa highly creditable.
